It includes full REST API access with an API key and 100 documents per month (up to 50 PDFs) — JSON calls count 10× lighter than PDFs, so you can validate far more. When you exceed your monthly document quota the API returns 402 with code monthly_limit_reached and an upgrade link; the quota resets on the 1st of each month. Short bursts are also smoothed by per-hour limits that return 429 Too Many Requests with a Retry-After header. Upgrading your plan raises both immediately.
